Turn Any Lamp Into a Smartphone-Powered Wake Up Light

Wake up lights are a great way to wake up in the morning when it's still dark outside, but they're a little expensive and tend to be strange looking. DIYer Akhil Piplani decided to make his own that works with any light and is controlled with an Android app.

The build here uses a custom microcontroller, an AC dimmer circuit, a Bluetooth module, and a few other components. The end result is a little box filled with all the components youll need to turn any lamp into a smartphone-controlled wake up lamp. It's definitely a tough build, but the guide below will get you started.
